Valentino’s PRE-FALL Collection in Tokyo

Valentino revealed their PRE-FALL 2019 collection, uniting men and women in one catwalk for the very first time through an exclusive show in Tokyo on the 27th November. The show payed tribute to Japanese culture and aesthetic surrounding “wabi-sabi” which highlights imperfection. For this collection, Pierpaolo Piccioli, the brand's artistic director, played with, bold colours and monochromes, from a flamboyant red to a deep black as well as including floral motifs. Each silhouette is elegant, with a play on volumes, enlivened with numerous frills, lace or pleats, worked in a romantic manner dear to the Italian brand. Both long and short pieces were presented one after the other in a natural concrete setting to the sound of a piano played by Angèle David-Guillou. For an urban appearance models wear big ankle boots and Derbies with high socks.Note: Puffa jackets that close like a kimono and sleeves embroidered with feathers.Focus on: Numerous propositions of bags and the casting composed of Kaia Gerber and Adut Akech.Music from the show
