Avoc : Men's show Autumn/Winter 2018/19 (with interview)
Designers: laura do and bastien laurent inspiration: winners of the andam prize for creative label in 2017, the duo continues their journey between streetwear & tailoring, with le grand paris as the theme which is mixed, intercultural, artistic and urban as the casting composed primarily of friends. collection: laura and bastien work from drawings found in a cartography book and reproduce them in paint on the clothing. jackets with multiple pockets, reversible puffers and loose trousers elasticated at the end. not forgetting the perfect finishes of the tailoring. several denim pieces are coated in silicone for a shining effect. to note: the different collaborations such as aa spectrum for the puffers, causse for the gloves, domestique for the accessories and a special customization of nikelab trainers + the red label and logo put on the reverse of a jacket, on the back, and the length of some trousers. interview of bastien laurent: we’ve really just summarised, we’ve overviewed what we did several seasons ago. it’s a flat summary, an overview, of what we’ve done, and the idea was really to introduce ourselves and to redefine ourselves once and for all. it’s grand paris, it’s not a collection, it’s a brand, it’s what we’ve done from the start and now we’re going to say it, we’re going to assume it and we’re going to show it. we want to elevate ourselves, we never want it to be something of the first degree, and that’s why it’s very important to continue with laura to have real, tailored silhouettes in the collection, to work with true tailored finishes on our trousers, on our jackets, on our coats because we don’t want to say grand paris, and at the same time give exactly what people expect from this ‘statement’, we want to go beyond that. music from the show (for use only in context of the show, under cover of the right to information).
