Designer : Dries Van NotenAmbiance : In Bercy, only first rows, for this 100th show signed by Dries Van Noten. And to mark the occasion, the designer has been drawn in his prints used during former seasons and has over printed and/or embroidered them. Silhouette: playing with the masculine/feminine always honored. The ample and comfortable suit, the white shirt, the patchwork jeans. The quilted effect on the coats, the dresses of a researched simplicity to put on like a t-shirt, all the prints with a graphic touch creating a 3D effect, motifs that we find at the bottom of the several pea jackets.Iridescent shades for the evening. To note : the music especially the beating heart, a sublime casting of women from different generations including Carolyn Murphy, Erin O'Connor, Caroline de Maigret, Amber Valletta, Liya Kebede, Alek Wek, Nadja Auermann, etc.Interviews Catherine Baba:For me Dries is a great mater of cuts, a great master of poetry, I believe that today is his one hundredth anniversary and we didn’t really feel like a kind of reinterpretationFor me, even when he plays with prints quite precisely every time, it still remains very beyond his time.Nadja Auermann:I liked the cast a lot, all the different girls of different generations that I admire and that also touched me to see all the girls I love.I really liked Dries’ idea that the girls walk like ordinary girls and not like models because I find that his clothes are for the street, to be worn and not just to look pretty in photos, they’re very real clothes.Music from the show (only to be used in the context of the show, protected by the right to information.)
